Paul Lustig Dunkel

Paul Lustig Dunkel (1943-2018), a native of New York City, was principal flutist at the New York City Ballet. He conducted major orchestras in the United states and performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world.

He attended the High School of Music and Art, Queens College and Columbia University Graduate Faculties and Columbia University teachers College. He taught at the New England Conservatory, The Manhattan School of Music, the Eastman School of Music, Vassar College and the University of Connecticut.

For twenty-five years he was the Music Director of the Westchester Philharmonic. He was also the Resident Conductor of the American Composers Orchestra.
